Metta Institute® offers an opportunity for visionary funding and involvement by individuals, corporate funders and foundations. We welcome your direct participation in transforming the individual and cultural experience of dying in America.
The Institute is an outgrowth and expansion of the internationally renowned Zen Hospice Project that Frank Ostaseski helped form in 1987. As such we have a well-established history in creative leadership, innovative program delivery and sound fiscal management.
Metta Institute responsibly generates significant earned income through our professional training and educational programs. However, the infusion of philanthropic investment remains essential for the Institute’s growth and long term sustainability.
Contributions are gratefully received and wisely utilized. We operate on a trim budget with a small staff and low overhead. Our world-class faculty donate all of their time and talent as do many other volunteers. By focusing on educational programs, collaborative endeavors and the building and mentoring of a national network of existing service providers, we dramatically impact end-of-life care in local communities across the country.
Metta Institute is a non-profit 501c3 educational organization. All contributions are fully tax-deductible.
